Instrument Rating

The instrument Rating Course is a very complex series of ground and flight training. The IFR world is very different from the VFR activity we are used to. We approach this complexity with a very structured series of simulator and flight sessions which will teach you the proper way to the requirements dictated by 14 CFR 61.65, which indicate that a minimum of 40 hours of instrument time (actual or simulated) must be completed by the applicant. We use this 40 hour requirement as the basis for our training. We do 20 hours of the training in our advanced simulator and the last 20 in the airplane. We have a set of ground classes for the instrument rating similar in structure to the Private Classes.
